With a little more than a month away from the start of the 2016 Major League Soccer season, excitement for the second-year team’s campaign is steadily building.
To get the fans more involved with the preseason festivities, Orlando City SC will be hosting a fan event for a club announcement. Here are the details:
WHAT: Lions players will make their first public appearance of 2016 for a club announcement. For fans, there will be a Heineken tent, various food trucks and the Orlando City Kickin’ Cruiser. UPDATE: According to Paul Tenorio of the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando City will announce the construction of a new training facility in Lake Nona.
WHO: At 6 p.m., the formal presentation will begin. It will include Founder and President Phil Rawlins, Lions team captain Ricardo Kaká and Tavistock Group Senior Managing Director Rasesh Thakkar.
WHEN: Friday, Jan. 29, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. EST
WHERE: The event will take place at the Lake Nona Town Center at:
